Want to pay with your Defacto card directly from your iPhone, Apple Watch, or Android smartphone? Here's everything you need to know to add it to Apple Pay and Google Wallet, plus how to fix the most common issues.
How do I add my Defacto card to Apple Pay?
Open the Wallet app on your iPhone.
Tap the + button at the top of the screen.
Select Debit or Credit Card, then Continue.
Tap Enter Card Details Manually.
Enter your Defacto card details. You'll find them in your Defacto dashboard under Cards > Card Information (on the right side of the screen).
Once the card is validated, it will appear in the Wallet app and be ready to use.
To also add it to your Apple Watch: open the Watch app on your iPhone, go to the My Watch tab, then Wallet & Apple Pay, and add the card.
How do I add my Defacto card to Google Wallet?
Open the Google Wallet app on your Android smartphone (download it from the Play Store if needed).
At the bottom of the screen, tap Add to Wallet.
Select Payment card, then New credit or debit card.
Enter your Defacto card details. You'll find them in your Defacto dashboard under Cards > Card Information (on the right side of the screen).
Tap Save and continue.
Once the card is validated, it's ready to use.
Once your card is verified, you can use it anywhere contactless payment or Google Pay is accepted.
Why is my card being declined when I try to add it?
The most common causes:
Incorrect information: double-check the card number, expiration date, and CVV.
Card not activated: make sure your Defacto card has been activated (via the Defacto app) before adding it.
Geographic or network restriction: some cards aren't yet eligible for mobile payments depending on the issuing country.
Temporary technical issue: try again later or restart your phone.
