Defacto requires a real-time connection to your financial data in order to provide our financing services. Without this direct access, we will not be able to validate your loan requests.

In accordance with the European DSP2 regulation, connections to bank accounts via API, also known as “open banking”, expire every 90 days. This ensures that you retain control over the data shared, as you will be asked to grant permission for data access again.

When a connection expires, you will receive the following notifications to reconnect your financial source:

  • An email from Defacto with a link to the “Data Sources” page in the settings of your client account.

  • A banner within your client account.

  • A “Disconnected” notice on the “Data Sources” page within your account settings.

At Defacto, we take your security and privacy very seriously. We will never ask you to share the login credentials for your financial tools or bank accounts.

⚠️ Managing Accounts Associated with Your Business

➡️ You must confirm the bank accounts associated with your business. You can attach or detach accounts, and each account will display its status (connected, disconnected, or awaiting confirmation). Please only select the accounts belonging to the business using Defacto's services. Selecting external accounts will be treated as a fraud suspicion.
